Strange Emotion EP – Remixed & Remastered

I made a promise to myself and I kept it. Today, Tue Feb 17 2026, I’m re-releasing my Strange Emotion EP with many improvements. It involved remixing and remastering, and during this process I decided to add a real drummer to replace the drum programming. The end result is that the EP is louder, clearer, and groovier.

I needed to get the drums recorded on short notice, so I went on Fiverr.com and checked out several drummers who offer self-recording services. I came across Zamm Kenoby; a hard-hitting, dynamic, and tasteful player from France with tremendous feel. Zamm was a pleasure to work with and he got all the drums recorded in about 5 days. This method of recording is very efficient, since Zamm was able to record himself and I didn’t need to book a recording studio or hire an engineer.

Special thanks to my production team; Pat Riccio Jr., Marc Mackenzie, Shannon Chapman, and Bobby Simone, for their invaluable input and for keeping me objective and on track. I’d also like to thank Zamm Kenoby, Shannon Chapman, and Kristen T. Clark for their wonderful performances on the EP.

I have most of a new album written and it’s likely to be a mix of new material and a couple of unreleased songs from the archive. I’m aiming for at least 10 finished tracks, as the most songs I’ve previously released on an album has been 9.

I’m still making YouTube videos and the top video on my music channel has over 136k views. My current viewership is bringing in about $50 a month so sometimes it feels like a bit of a slog, but at the end of the day I’m in this for the love of the game. I try to make content that helps people, and it feels really great when someone comments on a video to say that I solved their problem. I recently created a second channel called “This Seemed Important” to showcase the content I make that doesn’t fit on my music channel.
